Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. She is a member of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) and the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and as the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage of 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 as an influential political contributor to CNN. She was involved in the elections for the re-elections of Tom Harkin (Iowa Democrats) for the U.S. Senate, and Tom Vilsack (Iowa Governor). Psaki then was appointed the deputy press secretary for John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and as regional press Secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was also the press secretary for President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. 20 years ago, Psaki was named spokesperson for United States Department of State in February 2013. There was speculation she would replace Jay Carney, White House Press Secretary, at the Department of State.[21However, Josh Earnest replaced Carney on May 30, 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 to serve as communications director. She was with the Obama administration until its conclusion.
